College Credit

SolidRock Climbing Gym is proud to sponsor both the Estrella Mountain CC and the Glendale CC Climbing Courses. Introductory and Intermediate courses have been developed over the last few years that provide unrivaled comprehensive courses of instruction. Topics vary from indoor technique and safety basics to more advanced outdoor set-up and rescue techniques.

If you want a credit toward your college degree and also want the challenge and fun provided by a rock climbing course in a safe, controlled environment, where you can make lots of friends, then these classes are for you!

Typically, they're offered every spring, summer, and fall semesters and yield one credit. Registration is simple and easy and can be done completely on-line at the Estrella Mountain Comunity College and the Glendale Community College  websites. The cost for the course is for an hour of credit and a $65 climbing facility fee. All equipment during the class periods is provided.
