SolidRock: Avondale-Estrella

NOTE: From time to time you may not be able to drive north/south under I-10 on 107th Ave due to ongoing I-10 construction. Use 99th Ave or Avondale Blvd as alternates in such situations.

Avondale-Estrella is the tallest climbing facility in Phoenix at just under 33' tall and our bouldering area is the most radical and challenging around!

It's easy to get around and even easier to be part of the action at SolidRock! We've followed through with our philosophy of big open doors, lots of light, and nice breezes, weather permitting of course. Avondale-Estrella has a lot of climbing with almost every square foot maximized for climbing pleasure.

The walls are specifically toned and decorated to evoke the fantastic granite, sandstone, volcanic, and  limestone climbing areas found within our great state. With 52 top rope stations, great bouldering, awesome lead climbing, a multi-pitch training section, an awesome floor to ceiling hand and foot jam crack, multi-station rappel buttress, tall, short, easy, and hard climbs, a spacious event/class room, and super friendly staff, Avondale-Estrella has it all!

Facility Specs and Amenities:

• Natural & renewable material construction, real rock-like texture and coloration, safe & open facility layout.
• 10,000 Square Feet of Climbing Terrain, ~2,000 of which is a separate, awesome bouldering area.
• Smooth, easy to navigate level flooring for complete access to ALL climbing areas (no pits or tunnels, uneven spongy flooring, or stained carpeting!)
• Lots of variety from 15' tall bouldering to 18'-33' roped walls.
• Lots of terrain for the younger and beginner climbers and lots of climbing for the more experienced, expert climbers.
• Dedicated Lead Area with other Lead Training areas throughout the facility.
